Friends of the lido will meet at regular intervals to discuss the promotion and support of Sandford Parks Lid, in conjuction and agreement with the Trust.
We will have an elected Chairman and Treasurer and appoint a Fund Raising Committee as required.
The Friends of the Lido exist to support the Sandford Lido Charitable Trust with financial aid and voluntary assistance.
Paid up members have the right discuss decisions on how best funds are used and to vote at the Annual General Meeting.
The main aim and objective of Friends of the Lido is to promote and make the general public aware of the Trust status of Sandford Lido and to ensure its future. To support the Management and Directors and provide extra financial benefits through fundraising, additional to the Sandford Lido Trusts annual budget.

I very much support the work that has been done by the friends over the years in bringing the pool up to its current standard.The trustees and pool management should also recieve due credit.However there is still much to do and we can always build on the current success to make the lido even better.Some decent showers and improvements to the buildings would be an obvious start continuing to work on pool water quality and looking at renewable energy to reduce the heating bills might also be worth investigation. also look at adding a solarium for windy days, a sauna and steam room, also a boules pitch.Hope this gives some food for thought.
